Websites and landing pages

A company website has two jobs: to make clear within seconds what you do and who for, and to give interested people an easy way to reach you. I build fast sites, readable on a smartphone, with copy laid out with care and the technical groundwork for proper indexing on Google.

Who it is for

Companies looking to renew their website

Sites built years ago, slow on a smartphone, difficult to update internally, or no longer representative of the company today.

Professionals and practices

Those who work largely by word of mouth and need a credible place for people to land after hearing about them.

Anyone launching something

A single well-made page for a product, an event or a campaign, with one clear and measurable goal.

What is included

  • Content structure: number of pages needed, what goes in each, and in what order.
  • Custom design and development, with no off-the-shelf template to adapt and strip down.
  • Copy layout, with a review of headlines and calls to action where necessary.
  • Image optimisation, in the correct formats and dimensions: image weight is the most frequent cause of a slow site.
  • Technical SEO basics: per-page titles and descriptions, structured data, sitemap, readable URLs, verification in Search Console.
  • A multilingual version where necessary, with dedicated URLs per language and correct links between them.
  • A working contact form, compliant with privacy regulations, with automatic notification on every submission.
  • Launch, training, and one month of fixes included.

How I work

The long part of a website is almost never the development: it is the content. That is why the copy outline is defined at the start of the project, not at the end, when everything else is ready and timelines stretch out waiting for content.

  1. 01

    Goal and structure

Who should land on the site, what they should understand and what they should do. That analysis produces the page list.

  2. 02

    Content

I send you a set of questions. Answering them gives you 70% of the copy, so you never start from a blank page.

  3. 03

    Development with preview

A live link you can look at and comment on while the site takes shape.

  4. 04

    Checks and launch

Performance, mobile, forms, structured data, then going live and submitting to Search Console.

What I need from you

The delivery date almost always depends on one thing: whether the content exists.

  • The copy, even in rough form. I send you a set of questions: answering them already gives you most of the material.
  • The photographs you want to use, in high resolution: I take care of adapting them to the context.
  • Logo and colours if a visual identity exists, in vector format where possible.
  • Access to the domain, if one already exists, so it can be pointed at the new site without downtime.
  • Someone who can sign off the copy. A site waiting on a review is the most common source of delay.

Frequently asked questions

Can I update it myself?
It depends how often you plan to. If you change content rarely, a site without an admin area is better: it costs less and is faster, and I handle the updates. If you publish often, a CMS gets added. I tell you in the proposal with the cost difference.
How long before it shows up on Google?
Indexing takes days or weeks; ranking for competitive searches is months of work. A new domain does not rank in a quarter. What I do guarantee is that the site is built so that it can: correct structure, speed, indexable content.
Do I need a blog?
Only if you actually intend to write in it. A blog untouched for two years signals abandonment and does more harm than good. If you are unsure, it can be added later without rebuilding the site.
Who owns the domain and the hosting?
The domain is registered in your name: you are the owner; I am just the technical contact who manages it. I take care of hosting: it is included in the service, fast and secure. The cost scales with the site's traffic and I state it in the proposal.
